Collaborating with composers and performers sparks my passion for music! Listed below are several ongoing and future projects. Interested in working together? Let's talk.
Images de Noël was composed by Alan Theisen and received its premiere in a solo recital at Caramoor in December, 2016. There is not an abundance of solo voice Christmas music by living composers which was the impetus to commission these songs. His settings of "Infant Holy, Infant Lowly" and "Tomorrow Shall Be My Dancing Day" were cherished parts of my recital program. Additional songs will be added to the collection.
Klage will be written by Alan Theisen for soprano and saxophone ensemble. As a recovering baritone saxophonist, it is yet to be determined whether I will be singing or playing. Kidding! Klage was premiered at the Navy Saxophone Symposium in 2018. Listen to a recording here.
Winter Songs will be written by Tony Manfredonia for soprano and piano. They will premiere in December, 2018.
Amontillado is a one-act opera, to be written by Alan Theisen. This Prohibition-era update of Edgar Allan Poe's classic short story will feature myself and mezzo soprano Megan Ihnen as the two female characters. Amontillado will be workshopped in 2018 and will premiere in 2019.
He's Gone Away is the title and theme for a duet recital with baritone. The program will explore the emotional strain people feel during deployments.
